June
12, 2007 - The President |
To My Allied Coop Colleagues,
Greetings!.
It has been three months since the
new set of officers of Coop Year 2007 took office.
It is during these months that important
positive changes have taken place for our cooperative.
1) New Home. With the Credit and DEARBC Offices,
the main store and kitchen have moved into the
new DMPI Group of Cooperative Building last March
25, 2007. After 42 years, finally, we have a business
office that we can finally call our own.
2.) Service Provider. Last April 01, 2007, we
formally made our mark as a service provider,
deploying 350 Allied member - workers. On top
of this, we also continued with our security services,
with 14 security guards deployed in Cagayan de
Oro, Manolo Fortich and Misamis Occidental.
3.) New Vale Entitlement. To improve the Coop's
collection rate, a new vale entitlement which
was base on member's capacity to pay, was approved
by the Board of Directors. And, in consortium
with the Credit Coop, the COOP-PERA was implemented.

5) Updated Procedures.
For a better check and balance, the centralized
purchasing and receiving procedures for
the Coop were implemented. This allowed
for only one (1) storage and receiving area
for all Coop goods and materials.
6) Board of Director
Focus Area. Each member of the Board was
tasked with an operating area to oversee
and progress reports are given during the
monthly board meetings.
On the Coop's financial condition (as of
April, 2007), assets increased to Ps 45M,
up by Ps13M over April 2007. Sales and operating
expenses have been kept at relatively the
same level as April 2006.
Thank you and God bless our Coop.
